Course facts

What is it?
In this ever-evolving world of publishing, executives who are from a print magazine heritage need to learn and adapt to the demands of the multi-platform consumer. The programme is a practical, experience-based, modular programme covering knowledge areas and management skills required by these publishing executives who are preparing for senior responsibilites, now or in the future.  This programme has evolved from a course covering the requirements of the publisher who needs to learn and understand the skills set necessary to publish a magazine, to a course that covers the role of the publisher as brand manager. Participants will develop the skill set required to maximise their brand beyond the print product

Programme duration and location
The course comprises of 18 training days, spread over four residential sessions at a London hotel, over the course of a nine month period. Participants must attend all sessions and modules of the programme to gain the Certificate.

Faculty
The course leaders are experienced professionals and practitioners and recognised experts in their subject area, as well as experienced communicators at a senior level.

Assessment
In order to attain the certificate, participants will not only be awarded for their contribution in class and to the group, but there will also be homework assignments following certain modules, which will be graded by the course leader. The FIPP assessment team will appraise each participant’s total contribution and award the FIPP Magazine Brand Management Certificate at the end of the programme, if the correct standard is attained.
